Start Here
Hey, I’m Atila.
I’m a writer and creator. I’m Black, femme, queer, from New York and now live in Philly. This blog is my studio log: what I’m making, what I’m learning about the process, and the systems that help me finish things.
Most days, that looks like writing with too many tabs open, a Notion scratch page that will get the business, and a comfort show like Star Trek or The Twilight Zone on in the background. I’m trying to turn ideas into real, shareable projects and hold myself accountable to my creative self. I deserve to finish something.
The vibe here is building in public, but not as a performance. I care about craft, completion, and staying human while I do it.
Expect honest writing from a personal stance, practical organization systems that actually get used, and creative work that’s allowed to stay in progress (messy drafts included).
Thanks for dropping by the studio 🧡
it’s good to see you 🌻
About the pillars (why they exist)
Since I’m building a few big projects at once (Scifi books, a template system called Saturn University, general recovery work, etc.). The pillars are how I keep that from turning into chaos. They’re not “niches” so much as lanes or containers that help me decide what I’m making, why I’m making it, and what project it’s for.
Each pillar has a purpose (what it helps me move forward), a vibe (what kind of energy you’ll get), and a typical output (what the posts usually look like).
How I use pillars for multi-project focus
When I’m choosing what to write, I’m basically asking:
- What project needs love right now?
- What kind of post do I actually have energy for? (reflection, how-to, review, update)
- What would make me feel proud to post this week/month?
Pillars help me rotate attention without dropping anything forever. I use Notion to keep the pillars from turning into an endless “everything at once” situation.
The pillars (and what you’ll find in each)
🪐 Saturn Self-Led University: Notion + curriculum systems for finishing what I start (templates, walkthroughs, planning posts)
✍️ Novel Writing & Worldbuilding: creative wring process drafting, revision, craft, and lore (craft notes, project updates, goal setting)
💜 Borderline Successful: a different take on a stigmatized disorder. Thoughts on mental health, identity, relationships, and recovery (personal essays + reflections)
📚 Books & Media: reviews + analysis as creative fuel (commentary, what stories teach me about making)
🔮 Cosmic Creative Practice: astrology/tarot for reflection + planning (check-ins, timing, gentle rituals—not prediction)
Coming up in the studio
Over the next few months, I’ll be writing about Notion and curriculum systems in real life, without the hustle culture. I’ll also discuss privacy and boundaries around publicness, checkpoint recalibration when you’re tired but still trying, and a few comfort-media essays that double as creative fuel.
